(March 26-April 2)
The end of the month has arrived, and that means it's time for activity check. To pass AC, players need to type up a short paragraph explaining what their character has spent the month doing. Please provide links alongside your paragraph so that moderators can easily verify that said activity exists. If you were accepted in the month of March or were on hiatus for at least two weeks, you need only check in by replying to this post. If you are currently on hiatus, you can fill out AC after returning or get another player to fill out your AC for you. |

Character: Raven Queen
Activity:
Earlier in the month, things were looking up. Raven learned from Madoka that they could get jobs during their stay here, and with some encouragement, decided to try her hand at being a candy striper. She also met B.B. Hood who had her participate in an odd little solo contest, much to their equal amusement. Then the surprises began, when Raven and everyone else learned about the other Magi, and in an effort to help, she explained her powers as best she could.
Then the Nightmare of the month came along. Raven and Madoka tried to ease their worry with a few bad jokes, and then she joined up with Sandy to praise Madoka and ready themselves for whatever was coming their way. When the Nightmare finally came, she learned new ways to use her magic, but ultimately, found herself useless in the final hours. She didn't take it well.
With the month coming to a close, Raven struggled to explain things to the Plain Doll, while also finding a new friend at school.

Character: Shinoa Hiiragi
Activity:
After recovering from her stint as a Nightmare, Shinoa chatted with Madoka during a chance meeting at the hospital. She talked with Hoshiko during the first transmission, learning more about what the norm generally is for Magi in other towns. Chancing upon Dave trying to set up a bulletin for the Magi, she offered to do her share of community service and help improve the board.
More attempts at community service was done when she made a public broadcast before the boss fight in an attempt to get her fellow Magi organized. Before the Nightmare arrived she had time to converse with Kakyoin, before having to shout directions to the panicking crowd reacting to the huge Nightmare's appearance.
After all that went down, some R & R was in order, and Shinoa arranged an impromptu campfire to help people deal with the emotional exhaustion of the fight.

Character: Mafuyu Kurosaki
Activity:
Since Mafuyu arrived very late into February, she spent the first part of the month getting acclimated to Nyoi-cho. She talked with Madoka a bit, but otherwise did her own thing for a while. She also briefly said hi to Hoshiko when Hoshiko spoke to them all.
When Sachiko contacted them the first time, Mafuyu responded to her and promised to help Sachiko with whatever she was having trouble with. Though it was a bit of a wait and Mafuyu got antsy. Then when the Nightmare showed up, Mafuyu was initially freaked out but eventually came around and helped save the day. Ultimately they beat the Nightmare, but the losses hit Mafuyu pretty hard and Mafuyu is in a really bad place right now. Since then, she has been laying low while trying to process everything that happened.

Character: B.B. Hood
Activity: Following up last month's funtimes, Bonnie had mostly spent her time dealing with her dear dear friend Lilith's wrath. A promise was made by renowned peacekeeper Madoka Kaname, to give her the slightest bit of peace of mind. Except not really, as she immediately went to go find ways to make more bombs, as well as be antagonized by the succubus. Of course, Lilith was all but pushed out of her mind once Cyborg Xpress came calling, giving the Darkhunter good enough reason to roll out the red carpet before her new friends arrived.
And then, shit hit the fan. Meeting with and waving off help from Sandy, she was ambushed and attacked by Lilith, who proceeded to take the unconscious hunter back home and smash her kneecap so that she couldn't run, after stabbing her hands so that she couldn't use her guns. Thanks to the previously mentioned peacekeeper however, Bonnie would be free and would lend her services to the rest of the town in fighting off the big monster.
Heading into April, Bonnie will be nursing her injury, while trying to form unsteady alliances until she can stand on her own two feet again.
Character: Ryoko Asakura
Activity: Ryoko's March started off quietly, with her meeting Pokey and getting irritated at how he handled fighting Nightmares. But once Hoshiko disappeared, Ryoko found herself talking to Sachiko Hatsu and involved herself with the big monster headed towards Nyoi-cho. Though once again, it ended with her yelling at Pokey to get out of his shield, and in the end, discovering her own Closed Space ability right before being snatched up by the creature.
Currently, she's recuperating from her own thoughts on the battle, providing oden for those who need it.

Character: Madoka Kaname
Activity: Where do we even start. Madoka got a job as a candy striper after deer her disappeared. She tried to keep peace between Bonnie and Lilith after the fallout of February, with some success later in the month. She was also among those who greeted Hoshiko of Cyborg Xpress, learning some surprising and slightly unnerving info as a result. The unnvering continued into downright horror once Cyborg Xpress disappeared, triggering Madoka's memory about encountering a similarly strong Nightmare. Madoka tried to save Cybrog Xpress, but unfortunately, two of the girls died, which, given how Madoka had been integral to the attack on the Nightmare, crushed her deeply in ways she can't explain. The fact the girls didn't have any identity, and the surviving two can't remember, further upset Madoka, which she and Kakyoin, among others, discussed. She also revealed this information to Jade.
She also spoke to Caesar when he woke up, Gaige when she arrived, Gary when he found his memory powers, Dave with his info gathering, Pokey when he fought Nightmares, comforted Raven, and thought the Doll was dead.
Also, she tried snails.

Character: Diarmuid Ua Duibhne (Lancer)
Activity:
The month started off pretty well for Diarmuid as he got to celebrate Madoka's new job and also meet Pokey, who he had seen around a lot, but never actually got a chance to talk to before. It was also exciting, if a little odd, to meet a magi from another town and a relief when Kakyoin's friend (family member?), Caesar, finally woke up from the weird sleep-walking state he was in. However, things started going downhill very quickly when the young magi, Ohka, went missing on her way to meet them. Diarmuid plotted some with Kakyoin about what they should do, and eventually settled on leading evacuations when it was revealed there was a very big SOMETHING heading toward the city. Once he had done all he could evacuating the normal people in the city, he returned to the battle only to have it play out in a way that he would really rather it had not. Afterward, he spoke with Lemmy and the young woman who seemed to be at the center of the creature they defeated. He also spoke with Kakyoin, but that conversation did not go very smoothly because Diarmuid is firmly convinced that Kakyoin is risking and stressing himself far too much while his redheaded friend is convinced he is merely doing what he has to do.
A few days after the battle, The Doll made a network post asking about what she missed while she was 'asleep,' and while Diarmuid answered with the intention of filling her in, the discussion quickly turned more to how much his views on what their goals are here are stressing him more than they should be.

Character: Lilith
Activity: Oh boy... Lilith spent the first part of the month still healing up and plotting her brilliant petty revenge on Bonnie. During that, she visited Madoka and tried to give her some handmade chocolates as thanks! She mixed up the batches and gave her chili chocolates instead. Itching to do something, she also surprises Pokey with her skills and excitedly talks to Hoshiko about Magi matters.
THEN things happened. Worried that Bonnie would harm Cyborg Xpress, Lilith took her out, which totally wasn't also petty revenge. On her way to meet up with the other Magi, she spoke with Madoka and Pokey, who both guilted her just a bit about her rash actions. Further talk with Shinoa cemented that she had messed up big time, and Lilith booked it back to retrieve a very grumpy hunter. Now a noble steed, Lilith had to put up with the ridicule of Azula, Pokey, and quite a few others
LINKING ALL THIS IS EXHAUSTING. She also flirted with her coworker. During the fight itself, she started out by just carting Bonnie around so she could blow shit up, but after watching the two Cyborg Xpress magi go down, she got increasingly frustrated and scared that they were messing everything up and making it all worse. In a sheer stroke of luck, Lilith was the one who found the solution, and the day was saved! Yay?She's still incredibly confused about what happened and is fighting with her desires to kill Bonnie and come to a better understanding of what it means to be a Magi.

Character: Noriaki Kakyoin (AU)
Activity:
It's been a busy month for Kakyoin on both the 'strategic' front as well as the 'I have severe survivor's guilt and no direction in life' front. Focusing mostly on the former, he spoke with Hoshiko and began to try compiling what didn't quite make sense to him; infighting over rewards that should hardly be exclusive, the existence of off-world magi only in Nyoi-cho, and so on. Those suspicions only got more confusing when he first met Sachiko, who mentioned the phrase 'those monsters that you call "Nightmares"' in trying to get around the mysterious static block--leaving Kakyoin to wonder what other name they might go by.
Which, unfortunately, was a question given half of an answer when the city was alerted to a 'Nightmare' that moved outside of a barrier in the middle of the day. And if it doesn't act like a Nightmare, fight like a Nightmare, or look like a Nightmare, Kakyoin would later be forced to acknowledge that it might not even be a Nightmare at all.
Regarding the fight itself, he made some effort to organize information and make sure everyone was as prepared as they could have been, putting forth an effort to try and assume some level of a leadership role or at least that of a strategist. Unfortunately, his attempts to get control over the actual fight and save the brainwashed members of Cyborg Xpress resulted (in Kakyoin's mind, directly so) in the shattering of Ayame Saito and Hitomi Amano's Soul Gems. Once the Nightmare(?) was defeated, Kakyoin lashed out at Diarmuid after relaying the news to Sachiko with as much sympathy as possible and every intention of protecting the mindwiped remaining Cyborg Xpress members however he could.
A few days after the fight found Kakyoin a hermit rather than a hierophant, mostly shut in his house trying to get a better handle on what it should look like and gradually--very, very hesitantly opening up a little more about himself to Madoka and Pokey.
Going forward, his intentions are to try and coordinate the city's magi into finding or creating a map of the town and the limits of the barrier he's sure encompass it, as well as hopefully working with them as well as Sachiko to try and locate its source however possible.
...But eventually, he's going to be forced to acknowledge he's running himself completely ragged and that's not a good thing.

Character: Dave Strider
Activity: After spending February trapped under the effects of the Valentine's event and being utterly worthless as a result, Dave decided it was time to get his shit together. He discovered his alchemization powers and put up a giant bulletin board as a medium for the magi to relay information on as well as fill any newcomers in. He announced that he'd done so over the mirror network. He then bumped into several people throughout the day. Several expressed confusion at what he was attempting to do. Yuuya who mistook his material-gathering for nest-building. Genos was misled by him into thinking he was practicing for a magic show. Others, catching wind of his network post, tried to contribute to the bulletin board by giving Dave information he could add to it (such as Madoka and Raven Queen) or had questions regarding how the bulletin board would work (Silver, Loken). Shinoa offered Dave supplies with which to improve the board.
Dave's conversations with Ryoko, Loken, and Pokey all involved discussion about the strange way the locals acted. When he conversed with Pokey, the two speculated on the nature of the locals residing in Nyoi-cho and came up with theories as to how to break them from the almost trancelike state they seemed to be under.
Later in the month, Dave tried to calm down a frightened Pokey during the event.

Character: Sandy Marko
Activity: Sandy started the month off by confessing some of her history to Madoka including her connection to Homura. They grew closer due to the honesty and it helped Madoka to gain some more insight on her own mysterious memory loss. Not long after that she made friends with Bonnie and agreed to help her stockpile bombs. That came in handy later when the big mother monster came to town. While making preparations for the battle she touched base with Bonnie, Asriel, Madoka, Raven, Pokey, and Garviel. She also took part in the main battle though she was not terribly effective. She got more accomplished helping to evacuate townspeople.

Character: Azula
Activity: Azula once again has kept to herself this month, watching from afar until the time came to join in preparations for the big battle of the month. Her early discussions with the Magi from another city did not go well, but using her ability to fly she was able to answer questions for Shinoa about the monster on approach as well as Lilith. She also used it to glare at Lemmy. She also used her vantage point to tell Lilith and Bonnie where they could climb to give Bonnie a good place to shoot from. When the actual battle began she attacked the monster woman disabling her speakers so she couldn't knock out any of the other Magi. However when the secret was discovered that the Magi had to lay down their arms to be taken inside her, Azula opted not to risk her life on such a peaceful tactic and watch from afar.
She also met Gaige.

Character: Gary Smith
Activity:
After February shenanigans Gary decided not to seclude himself as he has done in the past, since that made him feel like a complete helpless wuss and the last thing he wants is to go back to that state. As a result he does what any dumb teenager would do and goes Nightmare hunting where he runs into Pokey and
harassestags along. Keeping up the tradition of harassing his friends Gary approaches Dave when he finds him putting up a bulletin board to consolidate information on the town. He ends up swallowing his pride and asking Dave to teach him how to fight, realizing that he should probably take this Magi thing a little more seriously as he doesn't want to die. He also tells Dave about Ellen despite his better judgement, though he doesn't go into too much detail other than "bitch be crazy and she's here". Later Gary explores his newest power by trying to touch random natives in the hopes of seeing a memory that may give him information. Instead he ends up bumping into Magi left and right and seeing all of their weird and sometimes disturbing memories instead. He also makes a network post warning everyone of his power so that they will be more inclined to stay as physically far from him as possible in an effort to avoid being furthered traumatized by the dark/tragic/super shitty backgrounds of his fellow Magi.no subject

Character: Lady Maria
Activity:
Maria suffered some serious injuries after last months battle. During her recovery she got a feel for the city and some modern day conveniences. Though she understands little of it still, she feels less anger and more acceptance toward the strangeness. Most importantly to her, she opened up to a new compatriot about her old life and the mentor she learned her fighting skills from.
Though not aware of the events leading up to the giant nightmare, she worked with Raven to face the beast. Though their individual efforts were fruitless, they stayed through to the end of the battle. After the beast was slain Maria attempt to aid one of the freed girls from the cage, creating more questions than answers. Raven was chief among the magi she sought to comfort in the grief that followed, though she also visited Kakyoin at his home for a cup of tea. Her uncanny doppelganger, the Doll contacted her, though the exact reason is still unclear to her.

Lemmy had a quiet month until
the Fire Nationthe strange Nightmare attacked. He offered his expertise to a panicked Sachiko and did his, erm, best to prepare for battle. Much to his delight, his original hypothesis turned out to be true! At least in his head it was. He got a crash course on empathy when he encountered Diarmund trying not to give into despair, and aided him by being a goof in an attempt to cheer him up. When the Nightmare(?) was defeated, Lemmy was all prepared to celebrate until he learned the awful truth that people die when they are killed. Oops.After that was all said and done, things went back to normal save for an awkward memory sharing incident with Gary. Robots, man.

Character: Asriel Dreemurr
Activity:
Asriel had a rude awakening, as Asriel was woken up by a boss fight and other magi scurrying around to prepare for it. During the fight itself, Asriel ended up talking about what Santa really looks like to Madoka, trying to calm down Pokey, and running into Lilith and Bonnie. He tried to help out his magi allies by using his vines to open the cage with the trapped magi inside of it, which resulted in a barrier going up. He then used Star Blazing as a follow up attack, helping disable the creature's shoulder speakers. The attack left him completely exhausted, and Pokey comes to the rescue.
After the fight, he has a confusing conversation with Hoshiko and suggests a funeral for the deceased magi. He also goes to Shinoa's campfire therapy session and shares snails.

Character: Pokey Minch (CRAU)
Activity:
Pokey had a busy month. Pokey started the month out by testing out his powers by trying to hunt some nightmares. The results were just as annoying as one could possibly think they could be, and he tended to annoy the shit out of people more than anything. Later, he had a talk with his friend Dave about the nature of the town and the townspeople in it.
When the big event went down, Pokey caught Sachiko's distress signal and did what he could to follow it to try and help her friend, only to find that the town kept circling back on itself. He reported this information to Kakyoin, where he also gained some more info about the magi from outside town. He also warned Asriel to get ready for whatever was coming, got annoyed with Lilith and spoke with Sandy and Garviel.
When the battle started in earnest, Pokey did what he did best: cowardly choke at the start of it, which earned him both reassurance and annoyance depending on the person. Once the fight began in earnest, Pokey tried to draw the attention of the Nightmare, which had disastrous results and ended with Ryoko being captured and the first Magi coming out. Pokey had minor influence in the fight after that, mainly taking care of Asriel after he exhausted himself.
Pokey didn't talk with Sachiko after the fight had finished, though he did thank Ryoko and moped around some. He would later visit Kakyoin to talk about everything they'd been through and ended up talking about Mayfield with Ryoko.

Character: Caesar Anthonio Zeppeli
Activity: Following his apparent turning into a local (player hiatus) for the span of a couple of long weeks, Caesar finally awoke as his normal self on the 11th. For the first time, he used the mirror network to contact other magi and finally got to meet Diarmuid Ua Duibhne and Madoka Kaname. He recognized the former from a previous conversation with Noriaki Kakyoin but chose to give him a chance instead of immediately lashing out at him over his time-based powers alone. As for the latter, it gave him a mix of hope and surprise to know that someone he didn't know seemed to care about his well-being; needless to say he's going to have a lot to think about regarding his own aloof behaviour towards most people in the city.
As for Kakyoin, they reunited but the focus of the conversation was awkwardly steered by Caesar himself to the new piece of information that he received about his autopilot behaviour: that he apparently started dating a bunch of NPCs at the same time. Comic relief for an otherwise difficult situation, unless you're Caesar and then it just sucks.
Later on in the month, he got the chance to meet Gary Smith whom he decided was acting like a total weirdo, randomly approaching people and yelling at himself - eventually he found out about Gary's memory-related powers though. Around the same time, he also met a new magi, Gaige, whom he offered to show around the city as best as he could.
Some time later, Caesar also met Jade Chan and shared the story of his own time acting weird, while theorizing what could be causing it altogether.

Character: The Plain Doll
Activity:
Another quiet month for the Doll, sadly. March was not a great month for me on the soulgemmed front, so i had to declare a (slightly late) hiatus.
Basically she spent most of the month as an inanimate doll, effectively dead to the world. She woke up a bit after all this month's commotion and made a mirror network post to ask what was going on. As a result of that network post she discovered that Madoka can no longer see her , which scared the bejeezus out of the poor girl. She's also making a point to return her prized possession to Maria , although the juicy parts of those two bits aren't threaded out yet.
Idk if this counts as full AC to you guys, but if not I am completely okay with receiving a strike. I've got big plans for April, so there won't be a repeat of what happened this month.
