Activity Check

The end of the month has arrived, and that means it's time for activity check. To pass AC, players need to type up a short paragraph explaining what their character has spent the month doing. Please provide links alongside your paragraph so that moderators can easily verify that said activity exists. If you were accepted in the month of April or were on hiatus for at least two weeks, you need only check in by replying to this post. Character: Dave Strider
Activity: Early in the month, Dave introduced himself on the bulletin board and met Sollux. During the flood, he ran into a friend of his from Waverly Bay, investigated the school, and was locked out of his house. While investigating, he found an old classroom where a secret passage was hidden. He ended up almost drowning during his thread with Pokey.
Later on, Dirk convinced him to stop trying to get into his house and follow everyone to the school before he could do something stupid to get himself almost killed again.
Once the Nightmare appeared, he did some brief nightmarescape exploration with Jane before the Nightmare disintegrated and tossed everyone onto the flooded streets. There, he saved Shinoa from drowning and went on underwater adventures with Pokey.

Character: B.B. Hood
Activity: OH BOY. Bonnie started off by trying to gather information for everyone that got vandalized by a delinquent-ass demon. Speaking of delinquent demons, she also managed to hurt her knee further by Etna. Her month was already off to a really bad start, despite helping out Madoka, but the rain only made things worse. Considering she hadn't fought against a Nightmare since early March, interactions with Pokey and Lilith just made her gem grow darker and darker.
That was of course, until she met with Madoka, who took in some of her despair. Bonnie's mood improved a few notches, and she took some time to explore the school and speak to a new rival. She was however, all too happy to see a Nightmare pop up! Shooting crabs, though she found herself annoyed at Lilith's attitude. Still, despite all that, she tried to do what she could to restore her Soul Gem. To do what she could to repay her debt.
She didn't. Thus she remains dead until the beginning of May.
Character: Ryoko Asakura
Activity: So! Ryoko started off helping Lilith with a Nightmare, trying to get a good grasp on her powers for once. With this knowledge, she went off to help a newcomer get acquainted with Nightmares herself. She was appreciative. During the flood, she spent most of her time holding a study hall and yelling at kids.
When the Nightmare popped up, she encountered a quick problem: she was enjoying the sunshine too much. This made her feel hella guilty when it disappeared, and along with saving Taiga, she spent most of her time rescuing various NPCs. Current condition: tired.

Character: Diarmuid Ua Duibhne (Lancer)
Activity: If Diarmuid ever takes time to notice, he will start to see a pattern in how his months go. It seems like at the beginning of the month he gets to spend time doing things he likes. For example, meeting new people and planning on helping them learn how to use the new powers they have been gifted. However, inevitably, things become more serious and worrisome as the month goes on. Some of his fellows' plans have him concerned that they might be going too far in their efforts to figure out just what exactly is going on here, and right on the heels of that, is the rain. It just doesn't stop! How annoying is that?
Of course, as soon as the unending rain starts to become dangerous, Diarmuid sets himself to helping out as many people as he can and trying to find the source of what is going on. While he doesn't really find answers, he does find out more about his fellow magi and his own powers. Once the boss fight starts and it becomes obvious that the natives of the city are in even more danger than they originally suspected, Diarmuid focuses his efforts on rescuing others and lets his fellows fight this month's monster 'Nightmare.'
If a Nightmare is really what it is.
Fortunately, once it is defeated the rain stops, though the water doesn't go away. Everyone gets to rest....or do they? Rest seems to be something poor Kakyoin isn't getting enough of, but fortunately, there are a lot of people who are willing to help deal with this Nightmare of his. Some of them even find more catharsis in dealing with certain aspects than they probably should...

Character: Alice Liddell
Activity: Alice started her acquaintance with Nyoi Cho by meeting local sweetheart and somehow getting a free dish for trouble, a dark haired queen who Alice can sympathize with that taught her how to activate her soul gem, and then having a gentleman show her how to reach her new home. Alice is plenty grateful, but had little time to show this before the flooding happens.
Alice runs intoMadoka again, gets her first nightmare hunting experience and even meets some new people before and after the big flooding event and even plays a part helping some of her fellow magi, specifically Raven before retreating for some R and R, being very damp and likely doing her best to stave off a cold.
All in all? A miserable experience, but with some interesting companions, and still better than London.

Character: Shinoa Hiiragi
Activity: Earlier in the month Shinoa had adventures working at a cafe near the library, advising Lilith on the Magi Special and meeting Rika. She also met Sollux over the mirrors.
After getting advice from Madoka Shinoa decided to move into the school to wait out the storm, posting a message on the mirrors to give her suspicions on it being Nightmare-related. She also had a pretty good time telling scary stories with the others in school, though the other parties may have enjoyed it somewhat less than she did.
Battling the Nightmare was inconvenient for Shinoa, who was reminded again that she could not swim. Unfortunately, the bachelors that came to her rescue were not entirely what she hoped for.

Character: Raven Queen
Activity:
After the trauma of March, Raven was ready to welcome April and it's newcomers with a semi-positive attitude, including a surprising friendship with the famous Alice. She volunteered in B.B. Hood's book, and pleaded with Madoka to treat herself much better. Even the arrival of a hothead didn't damper her spirits too much, nor the often confusing Etna in her introduction.
Things took a slightly shocking swerve when she met Sayaka, but she still managed to put on a happy face by asking for help in a musically related matter. When the rain became too much, she took shelter in the school when she wasn't rescuing NPCs. During her stay, friends old and new came to her mental aide, BB discovered the hidden room, and Raven retold her mother's story.
When it was time to fight the big boss, she was nearly seduced by the magic beach, but came back to her senses in time to help the desperate.

Character: Jade Chan
Activity: After returning at the end of March, Jade found herself subject to an April Fools day prank and decided she had to get in on the fun herself, despite feeling homesick after finding a souvenir from an old mission on her doorstep. The next day, she encountered a new Magi and decided to give him a brief rundown of how his Soul Gem worked. After that, she mostly managed to stay out of trouble, until she met Etna and just had to talk herself up. Because of course she did.
As the weather turned bad and the city threatened to flood, she decided it would be prudent to acquire some supplies through questionable means, which turned out useful, as she and other Magi soaked themselves in an effort to save civilians. Once done with that, she joined others in telling ghost stories, although hers got somewhat derailed by the odd nature of her tale. Then she found the Nightmarescape of what they believed to be the culprit for the storm...only to spend so much time napping and being accosted by Familiars that she missed the Nightmare itself and was caught off guard by its dissolution. Not that it stopped her from confronting the true enemy. Unfortunately, her recklessness left her with a couple slight problems to deal with, only one of which was properly resolved...

Character: Vergil
Activity: Vergil was taken out of Nyoi-Cho shortly after the Valentine's Day event and reappeared nearly two months later with no recollection of where he went or what he did during that time. Despite the initial confusion and jet lag of seemingly falling through time, he settled himself in the best way he knew how: Nightmare hunting! With Etna, who he learned was a demon from another netherworld. Notes on demon culture were shared between the two.
Fortunately, Pokey caught him up on what he missed and confirmed Vergil's suspicions of this world being more than it seems. With the floods rising to dangerously high levels, He overhears a plan to hide out in the school and offers his skills as a chef, which came highly appreciated. He made his preparations on the 14th and proceeded to do what he could to ration and maintain the school's food supply while reuniting with a few familiar faces (including an awkward meeting with Dirk). There was little to do except wait for the nightmare to appear, but when he wasn't calming an upset Sollux (using food empathy abilities he doesn't fully know he has), he and Kakyoin learned of the secret door on the first floor, a door Vergil notes as worth investigation once the floods recede...
He didn't bother exploring the nightmarescape too much once it appeared, but once the true boss appeared, he definitely took part in the fight. With the floods lowering, that secret entrance still since in the back of Vergil's mind, but at the front of it is wondering what's become of his timesink: the restaurant.

Character: Lemmy Koopa
Activity:
Lemmy kicked off April by celebrating the best holiday ever!!... much to everyone else's chagrin. A mysterious fellow named Sir Lemmington of Koopshire came to visit on April Fool's Day, but vanished once Lemmy got bored. Swayed by Etna's style and the promise of cool swords, he joined her merry band of minions, because taking orders from a boss in a scary, lava-filled castle is what he does best.
When the rain started, it didn't take long for him to find a silver lining (haha, get it, because clouds?). Fashioning a crude vessel for himself, Lemmy sailed all over town absolutely nothing helpful. He took shelter at the school with everyone else, and joined in with the telling of scary stories! In the... nightmarescape?... he completely forwent looking for the monster responsible and hung out at the beach with Asriel. Even after the nightmarescape imploded, he still wasn't of much use, getting his video game genres mixed up. Though, he did manage to save Mafuyu, so there's something.

Character: Azula
Activity: After the mess the was March Azula spent most of her time focusing on honing her interpersonal skills by trying to keep a job. The two largest events of her month however included Meeting Alice whom she initially did not have a high opinion of and then Nearly drowning herself only to be saved by Alice thankfully. So she's made an ally which for Azula is actually pretty good.
Character: Sandy
Activity: Having seen how much people appreciated her efforts last month, Sandy has continued to work and earn money so that she can buy emergency supplies and food. While doing this she spent some time Hanging out with Rika a new Magi whom she's grown fond of over some shared food and Rika's general charm (Though most of that took place in the test drive) Then during the flooding she sat down and shared supplies with Jade earning herself another ally in the process.
I apologize if my activity is a little light for April. I should have taken Hiatus sooner but I just kept telling myself I would be able to participate in the event . Real Life took it out of me though and I won't make the same mistake twice.

Character: Taiga Aisaka
Activity: Accepted in April!!!
Character: Lilith
Activity: To start off on a very light note, Lilith found that her incident almost killing Madoka with chili... inspired the young Magi to experiment! With far less dangerous levels of chili. Then the rain started, and she realised something was up with this constant rain. This included stalking Hoshiko and Miki and creeping out a lot of the local students, antagonising her best friend Bonnie and Sollux to a degree, and forming the Cyborg Xpress Protection Squad with Kakyoin! Their plans might have involved knocking them out. Maybe.
After they were stuck in the school, Lilith helped Pokey blow off some steam and created a terrifying monster. She really shouldn't be allowed back in the school. Otherwise, she was playing guard duty every waking moment, and in general wore herself out trying to keep all the locals safe and happy. Once pulled into the Nightmare, she antagonised her best friend yet again until, y'know... That whole thing went to crap and they were all dropped back into Lake Nyoi-cho. This led to stupid decisions and a near death experience for Lilith that thoroughly pissed her off and left her feeling the very human emotion of GUILT. She's ultimately able to keep the Cyborg Xpress Magi safe, but it hardly felt like a victory.

Character: Asriel Dreemurr
Activity:
Asriel began his month with answering a call from Madoka about the previous month's fight. He also managed to get into two awkward mirror calls, in which both magi mistook Asriel for a talking goat. When the rain began to flood Nyoi-Cho and the magi were forced to take shelter in the school, Asriel encouraged everyone to tell some scary stories to help pass the time.
While Asriel was taking shelter in the school, he was whisked off to a nightmarescape by ghost crabs, despite BB's attempts to help. He reveals to Lemmy that he's never seen a beach before, and Lemmy tries to scare Asriel with monster eels. By the time Jane finds him, Asriel is already captivated by the nightmare's spell. Once the spell is broken, Asriel has a pun-off with Pokey.
During the actual boss fight, Asriel breaks out the fire magic, combining it with the attacks of other magi to do some major damage to the boss monster.
Once the battle ends, Asriel tries to warm up himself and others, as well as trying to defrost Jade. But before Asriel can rest, he gets sucked into Kakyoin's nightmare with Madoka.

Character: Madoka Kaname
Activity: Madoka met several people before the flood, including Alice, Sorey, Mikleo, Etna, Sollux, who she helped train, Jane, and Sayaka, the last of which caused her to further ponder wtf was happening (and then Kyoko came, confusing things further). She also tried to do a Soul Gem experiment, to try and figure out how to prevent other gems from breaking, but stopped it once she got a bad feeling about it.
When the flood came, Madoka worked overtime. She helped to set up the shelter and oversee it in the school, and was among those who found the secret room along with Dave. Surprisingly, she also learned of her ability to drain Soul Gems of their corruption, putting it into her own. This cost her during the battle, when she fell asleep, had trouble swimming and saving people from drowning, and drained her Soul Gem fighting the Nightmare in its true form. Afterwards, she corrupted her Soul Gem further and fell asleep for over 40 hours. She was somewhat woken up by Kakyoin's Nightmare emerges, draining her Soul Gem more because of it. She does get better once the Nightmare is stopped, and the month ends.

Character: Etna
Activity:
Things with Etna started off with her doing some minor shoplifting and trying to induct a poor Sorey into her army of minions.
Later she spoke to Ryoko over the mirrors instead of going to school, because what kind of weird deliqunent actually goes to school? And she continued her amazing friendship with one B.B. Hood after meeting her in the test drive. A beautiful friendship that blossomed into all out warfare against each other in the park that left Etna's magic spent and Bonnie defeated.
With her gem slightly dark she came up with a genius idea of soliciting the mirror network for help in the dumbest way possible.. A few people even took her up on hunting Nightmares together which put her in a better place just in time for the flooding to get out of control.
At the magical beach that appeared Etna went to the boss room right off the bat, but ended up hanging back from actually fighting. Hoping to take the final blow it was over before she knew it. But she couldn't hide her enthusiasm when the real boss battle began. She got a few good attacks in, and even against her better judgement decided to keep Lilith from dying (she likes the other demon girl).
After the fight Etna wandered around the school building with the rest, but she was tired and spent, unable to even make a single Prinny to keep her company.

Character: Gary Smith
Activity:
Not much this month. I completely dropped the ball with Gary especially. All he did was encourage someone to leave the NPCs to their watery fate because helping them is a complete hassle and not worth the effort. And listened in on some shitty ghost story telling while sarcastically proclaiming it to be the best thing ever.
This is probably bupkis for AC so I will gladly take a strike and get my stuff together next month.
Character: Yoshitake Tanaka
Accepted in April but Yoshitake is starting off poorly. First trying to help Pokey help the NPCs and both come to the conclusion that they're kind of dumb -- not so bad right? Then he tries to help the NPCs again and almost drowns, but luckily someone more competent comes along to help. That same thread he debates doing the same thing except once again someone smarter stops him from doing a dumb. Clearly he learned his lesson...except didn't. Basically Yoshitake spent this month almost drowning trying to save the locals. Oh and also he got to meet a fellow hero of justice who was also a legit magical girl and that kind of made his day.

Activity: Gaige is still pretty new, so she's been spending a lot of her time just talking to people. She even met someone who managed to get two wishes instead of just one! Once the rains started, she took shelter in the school, but not without taking the time to yell at the locals for being tools. As the nightmarescape formed, she got in on some of that action too, mostly by accidentally upsetting the familiars. After that all ended, Gaige was unfortunate enough to get dunked into the water which kind of ruined her cyborg arm. She's adjusting well enough without it, but it still kind of sucks.

Character: Pokey Minch (CRAU)
Activity: Once the rain started, Pokey did what he could to be responsible and fuck around like a little dink. He helped some people during this time period, but really was more interested in fucking about like a dingus. When it really got pouring Pokey made the acquaintance of Sayaka, re=met Jane, and met a version of Kyouko that wasn't the one he'd known for the last two years.
With the rain really coming down, Pokey focused on providing help and raising morale through obscenity. Pokey and Dave also decided to explore a waterlogged part of the school. This wouldn't be the end of their almost drowning adventures.
During the march towards the castle of the Nightmare, Pokey ended up dicking around making a sandcastle which got blown up by Bonnie and making sand puns with Asriel. He was also the only other witness to see Bonnie drown before the fight. When the fight proper began, he mostly ran defense.

Dirk spent the month reintegrating into the magi scene as the rainfall started! When things started to get more dire, he raced around trying to help the citizens of the town. Dirk also ran into Vergil and had been trying to work things out.
