Character: Diarmuid Ua Duibhne (Lancer),
Activity: Never one to sit still, it's not surprising that Diarmuid isn't happy just going to school during the day and hunting Nightmares at night. Even if he is finding it harder to trust than it used to be, that doesn't stop him from greeting new arrivals or making sure they have everything they need once they are getting settled in. This is especially true when that new arrival has the same face as one of his friends. Perhaps the city has picked up on the fact that Diarmuid doesn't have much lucky, but that same new arrival is tied to him even closer when she gets a odd package with his name on it. Determined to find out what is going on, Diarmuid starts trying to gather information at the same time he is trying to deal with a new power that suddenly strains one of the friendships he has already made in the city. When the Nightmare finally shows itself, Diarmuid doesn't hesitate to battle it and make attempts to try and keep his affected friends from doing something they will regret. Once the Nightmare is defeated and people return to normal, Diarmuid does his best to make sure everyone is physically okay even though he is not entirely himself. Finally, when one of the magi in the city plans a meeting so that they can organize themselves better, he makes sure he is there to help out. Better organization can only aid them in the end and finding an answer as to why some of their own start acting oddly sometimes, will put everyone at ease.

Despite his best attempts to adjust, Kakyoin is having a bit of a rough time of things in Nyoi-cho. Finding himself dissatisfied with the idea of going back to school, he's taken a job as a waiter instead--that much actually isn't so bad. As hesitant as he is to trust people on a personal level, he's open to meeting other magi and even hunting Nightmares with them. Past that is where things get difficult. Kakyoin firmly believes that the magi of Nyoi-cho should be able to cooperate and work together, but past that he has been keeping everyone at arm's length. This gets taken to an extreme with a fellow magi's new power bringing up unfortunate memories, which Kakyoin's only willing to discuss with his alternate-world relative. To him, the line between 'things in which magi should cooperate' and 'things that my family should handle ourselves' is a clearly drawn one, though he's beginning to question if it should be crossed now and then. Fighting Nightmares does however fall squarely into the former category, so he cooperates with the group without a second thought. But dealing with an autopiloted Caesar ranks as 'a problem I need to take care of myself', and he withdraws as much as possible despite trying to ask for opinions on what might be going on. From there he'll end up going back to fighting Nightmares and working a day job, occasionally following Caesar around to make sure he doesn't land himself into trouble while clearly not himself.

Character: Madoka Kaname
Activity: Madoka, having been here since the beginning, has gotten comfortable in her own skin as a magi. Nevertheless, she's found that not every magi are as noble as she, and while she's not upset about that (she's not perfect, no one is! She's just herself!), what she is upset is that there are those unwilling to put aside their differences to fight the real, common enemy of Nightmares. She's also, because of encouragement (mainly Azula's, to the detriment of Diarmuid's advice), thinking of how to recover her memories so she doesn't wander aimlessly when golden-eyed without warning. SO. At the beginning of the month, Madoka introduced herself on the mirror network, meeting some new people and discussing things with some older ones. She met, among others, Sandy, Raven and Cousland during February. She's been working on fixing the school (handwaved) and taking classes, rotating nights with hunting Nightmares (as explained with Cousland). When the Nightmare's boxes began to affect people, she sort of put Lemmy to bed and learned of Diarmuid's emotional burnout ability. When the Nightmare showed itself, she was forced to face Azula's demons as well as her own; however, she managed to get past Bonnie and aid in defeating the Nightmare. Once out, she learned she had healing powers and unwittingly saved Lilith's life. She also attended Briar's strategy party, where she remembered the significance of things she saw during the Nightmare, and discussed what she knew of the Nightmares. Currently, she's helping with Shinoa's Nightmare and learning of auto-piloted people. And also considering getting a job, because her monthly allowance from back home is all but gone! D:

Activity: During the month Azula has spend her time in the library learning about this more modern setting, was stalked for a week by a magically lovesick Koopa Kid, and had a breakdown in the Nightmare due to the corruption of her soul gem. She also has found herself surprised by the number of allies she's been making including Madoka, Briar, Raven and even to a lesser extent she has developed a soft spot for Lemmy.

Character: Shinoa Hiiragi
Activity: Since her arrival Shinoa has been familiarizing herself with the town, been to the grocery store to replenish her food sources, and getting occasionally lost. She's met a lot of people in the process, especially during getting lost- her "to-hate" list already has a name on it after her first night out. She's also gotten a part-time job at a cafe, which she works at during the February event to get away from all the chaos, but returned to aid the other Magi with the Nightmare at the end of the week. She did have some problem in the Nightmarescape, though. Problems.
She's also interacted with CRAU Karkat and Lilith over the mirror network during the month.
Now she's currently being a Nightmare!

Character: B.B. Hood
Activity: Bonnie was adjusting quite well to her new life as a Magi, considering all things considered it wasn't much different from being a Darkhunter. While yes, she had her issues with new fellow magi popping up and giving her sass (after she had started it), everything seemed to be going just fine. And then, Valentine's Day happened. While she started a fight against Saber, it mostly came to a head once the object of her affections had her arm broken. By her, of course. She did it out of love.
After fighting in the Nightmare, Bonnie immediately went on the offensive, targeting Lilith only to be shooed away by a completely confused Madoka. Frustrated, she's currently preparing to start her new mission in Shinoa's Nightmare, slowly starting to get an understanding of how this stuff should go down.
Character: Ryoko Asakura
Activity: Ryoko's mainly been getting adjusted. She decided to help out Chitoge with Valentine's Day things, and encountered her first Nightmare. At least now she's meeting up with people to strategize.

Character: Briar Beauty (AU)
Activity:
Briar is still getting adjusted to the school/training by day and fighting Nightmares by night. To both her joy and her horror, she finds Raven Queen, a fellow former student of Ever After High, and the two reconnect.
While Briar didn’t recieve a package, the strange behavior of the affected Magi didn’t go by unnoticed. During the Valentine’s Day Nightmare, she had to deal with a lovesick/yandere Lemmy. When the dust cleared, Briar was busy checking on Raven and met an emotionally exhausted Diarmuid.
After dealing with the event Nightmare, Briar comes to the conclusion they were sorely in need of a strategy and calls for a planning party. While some questioned the idea of a party, many of the magi were in agreement this was something they needed to do. On the night of February 25th, the party goes down. Briar hopes they will make some progress.

Activity: Miss Lilith had been minding her own business after helping out in Kongou's nightmare, just trying to get used to the change of scenery, and eat lots of cake when a certain someone decided that she needed to prove her love to Lilith. And prove it she did... Understandably, Lilith wasn't able to help during the Valentine's Nightmare, but she did seek help after everything wound down. Madoka, Shinoa, and Kanaya try to help her, and after some further fun with Bonnie, Madoka gets her some well needed medical attention.

Character: Saber
Activity: In addition to working off-camera jobs to make ends meet and patrolling for Nightmares, Saber makes it a point to get to know her fellow Magi, or at least the ones sunshiney enough to get through her natural stoicism, or are otherwise relevant to her interests. She's also been offering training to those who (desperately) need it. Once the event started, she wound up having some very awkward conversations despite being unaffected herself, and her nightly patrols began running into some problems. She works out a theory with Diarmuid, which she follows up on later before diving into the event Nightmare, helping to organize the offensive and then slay the beast.
I will admit I have been slacking for the second half of the month, however, and I will rectify that as best I can. Most likely, Saber got consumed in catching up her funds after spending most of Valentine's week

Character: Seishirou Tsugumi
Activity: After arriving in Nyoi-Cho in late January, Tsugumi has been mostly trying to adjust to the place she found herself in. Her exploration in Nyoi-Cho resulted in finding a grocery shop and a park. She's still trying to get used to the mirror network, however she has already taken her first steps and talked to Madoka, offering her help with cleaning up the school. Some time after her arrival, she found that her friend Chitoge was in Nyoi-Cho as well and she tried to cheer her up even if just a little. She also joined other Magi in their exploration of the Nightmarescape that appeared on the Valentine's Day and met Ryoko there. Even though she nor her friend weren't affected, it's better to be safe than sorry so he expressed her willingness to attend and help out with the strategy party.

Activity:
Lemmy's month started normally enough. He "helped" Asriel train and "helped" Genos fight a Nightmare. Unfortunately for him, he ended up under the love spell and spent an entire week stalking Azula, which had the effect of driving not only her crazy, but keeping everyone else awake at least one night with loud music. Everything came to a head and he was pulled into the Nightmare, which tricked him into thinking Briar and Azula were illusions trying to test his love! He snapped out of it when the Nightmare was defeated, and realized that he had made a terrible mistake. But he had a discussion about love with Diarmuid, so maybe he learned something from all of this.

Character: Ellen
Activity: Ellen arrived just in time for Valentine's Day shenanigans. She received a package from Vergil, who received a package from Dirk, who received a package from Gary, who received a package from her. In short, she found herself in the midst of a crazy four-member stalker chain. She followed Vergil around and tried to learn as much as she could from observing him so that she could figure out how to make him love her. Meanwhile, Gary did the same to her. In her meeting with Gary, she learned that he knew her from a past universe and that he loved her. She also learned that they were similar in many ways - both had parents who did not love them and tried to abandon them, and both sought revenge. While she ordinarily would have been delighted to learn all of this, she was too focused on Vergil to care much for the news. Vergil was similarly focused on Dirk. As a result, in her second meeting with Gary, she took advantage of his feelings for her to try to manipulate him into murdering Dirk.
Character: Dave
Activity: Dave's activity this month can be summed up as thus: Karkat. Early on in the month, he met up with his timeline's Karkat, who, like him, had been to another universe before coming here. The two shared information on their respective past universes. Dave's own account of Waverly Bay was heavily skewed and inaccurate - an account given by a bitter boy who suffered an emotional breakdown so damaging he ended up losing his mind and stabbing his own brother. Although he also had many pleasant memories there, this event had such a big impact on him that it's ended up entirely dominating his memories and impressions of Waverly Bay. He still has a lot of emotional baggage and guilt to work through involving this incident; maybe he'll get there one day. Later in the month, he received a Valentine's Day package from Karkat and ended up infatuated with both Karkats at once, because that totally isn't incredibly awkward at all.

Character: Dirk Strider
Activity: Dirk's month can be pretty accurately summed up as coming to terms with reality. He hit up Briar's party and chatted with Saber about alternate realities. After CRAU Karkat introed, Dirk realized that the impression he'd had over Waverly Bay (primarily it begin another level to sBURB) was off, and that in reality it was just one potential hell out of many. This shook him to his core. The month wasn't helped by the Valentines Event, which played on his emotions and caused a lot of brutality and violence. After getting his ass handed to him by Vergil, Dirk retreated to lick his wounds and try to recover from it all.

Character: Gary Smith
Activity: The month of February was all about love for Gary, unfortunately. Which meant when he received a package with the name "Ellen" on it he sought her out first thing. Of course he bumped into Pokey, and after their routine bickering and shitting on each other Pokey tried to warn Gary that he was probably being messed with by the town. Gary ignored this warning, of course. Once he found Ellen the effect of the virus seemed to double based on the fact that he already knew her from Waverly Bay (though he didn't know her name). He twisted his memories of her torturing him and making him accept her love into making it about how they were meant to be together. He wanted to prove himself to her so he ends up showing Ellen his pocket dimension where he ends up seeing her memory of her killing her mother. They end up confiding in one another in a really screwed up way and Ellen admits she took a little girl's body because she was sick. He promises not to tell anyone. He finds her again with his stalker powers where she tells him that if he kills Dirk she'll love him. He agrees and lures Dirk to his house where, before he tries to kill him, asks him instead to kill Vergil and only then will he love him.

Character: Asriel Dreemurr
Activity: The beginning of the month started off with Asriel sword-training! Or more specifically, swinging a stick around and calling out dumb attack moves in a park. Shinoa and Saber offered help with training, while Lemmy pointed and laughed at him for falling on his face. And while paying off his food debts at a restaurant, Asriel broke some dishes and got yelled at by the manager. This resulted in Vergil pressuring the restaurant manager into making Asriel an official employee. Inside the Valentine's Day nightmarescape, Asriel also ran into Pokey.

Character: Genos (AU)
Activity:
Genos arrives and meets Shinoa as they both attempt to find their magically gifted homes. These two get into an argument because they're both terribly rude to each other, but in the end agree to a truce because they live right next to each other. He runs into Kanaya as they both look for a grocery store. Then Genos goes out and attempts to fight a minor Nightmare, and proceeds to pick up some skills from a few different mentors. He looks for a job and then finds a stalker and gets so annoyed at how bad she is at it that he tells her about it. Also in this thread he runs into The Doll and is creeped out by it. And he speaks to Dirk about getting target practice in. By the end of the month he runs into Lady Maria and frets over her.

Character: Pokey Minch
Activity: Pokey got to begin this month by having yet another iteration of Karkat show up that he tried to talk to because of his nostalgia from Mayfield. Like everyone else Pokey received a package, but he ended up chucking it and hitting the Doll instead. Along with the other magi, Pokey would dive into the Nightmarescape along with the other Magi and was non-plussed by it's bullcrap. While inside it he tried to confront Dirk and probably got beat down (I need to get back to it). When it was all over, Pokey helped explain the magic of Easter to others. Later, he would talk to Kakyoin about the possibility of droning.

Character: The Plain Doll
Activity: The Doll's February was pretty rough on an emotional level, albeit not nearly as physically tough on her as January was. In the very end of January she met Lady Maria, the woman whom she was based off of, and she sort of spent the entirety of February reeling from that discovery and the implications that are carried with it. Before she knew of Maria's existence, she hadn't really thought much about how her appearance had been decided by Gehrman and the Moon Presence, but now she has doubts, and worries about her worth as a clearly imperfect copy. She worries if that's the reason Gehrman often seemed put-off by her, as well as what quality of a Magi she's capable of being when Maria is clearly more skilled in fighting Nightmares, and she expressed these troubles to Pokey.
Beyond that, the Doll met a few new Magi. Some who were capable of seeing her , and some who were not . When the month's large nightmare came about, the Doll did not join in the fight - partly because of her own insecurities about facing the same Nightmare as Maria, and largely because she feared the possibility of being forced to face her fellow Magi in combat, which is something she would not be able to bring herself to do. She did, however, arrive to patch up a few others in the aftermath of the battle. Diarmuid in particular. Together, the two of them discussed love and the value of other emotions, as well as the Doll's purpose.
As a result of her growing self-doubts, and the fact that her gem was not cleansed with the end of the Nightmare, the Doll's gem has grown darker with the end of the month. She's not having a good time, and if she doesn't get her act together soon, then a Nightmare may be imminent.

Character: Kanaya Maryam
Activity: At the beginning of the month, Kanaya was still getting used to human schoolhives. She's not sure she actually gets any of it, or why teachers are so respected when they wield no violence or other real threat over the pupils in class, but she has decided it's just another thing that makes human culture strange.
Spending time with Karkat was a small highlight, even if neither of them felt very satisfied with how the conversation went. Then again, given how things around them never seem to go very right, it's hardly to be surprised.
Learning about the mirror network gave her plenty to do, like talking to Lilith about the advantages of blood drinking, and speaking to Dirk about the futility of everything.
And aside from all that, Kanaya went shopping. Which turned out to be a bigger production that one might expect from such a simple task. She met a few new puella magi and discussed their experiences, and bought meat and a pineapple. Because they seemed like they went together somehow.

Character: Caesar Anthonio Zeppeli
Activity: Following on his arrival the previous month and still dealing with the idea of his own mortality being defied, Caesar's kept mostly to himself and to the only other person he's made an actual effort to get to know so far– an apparent relative from a different timeline, Noriaki Kakyoin. This means he's had to had a few deep conversations about things that happened that he didn't know about — on a side note, a few more talks were had that started the previous month, but. right. previous month! — while also working a few jobs here and there over time to try and keep his mind busy*. When new powers were granted though, another magi acquired a similar power to one of Dio's (a Big Bad villain in his world) which trigged a reaction from Kakyoin. For once, Caesar was there to help.
Summarized: Caesar has been a grinch and keeping to himself because he's not sure how to handle his own mortality. Because the mun was swarmed with finals and didn't think a hiatus was a good idea until later into the month, he hasn't done anything particularly significant other than Mostly Existing (tm) and causing Kakyoin a lot of grief after going on autopilot. I meant to bring him back a little earlier now that things have calmed down, but best to check in to AC first and see how this goes.
