ooc organization post!

So we've had a hell of a lot of stuff go on lately, and especially given all of the new loot that came in this past event as well as a lot of plot related stuff going on, we need to actually set up a good line of what's known and what's not known ICly and OOCly in the game. It might also be beneficial for any new applicants that might be interested in the game/newer players to the game already.

SO THEN!

If possible, I wanna get a good list together of everything that your character has kept track of in-game, via notebooks, information sharing, or anything like that. Please note, this post is only for OOC organization purposes only. As in, finding out that a character knows something yours does not does not mean that as of this post, they will learn that, unless specifically stated.

I'll be trying to put up a Google Doc at some point later this week that'll consolidate all of this information into a good way to keep information together. To that point, I might also try to set up an IC Luxury Lodge file as well.

Thanks for the help!

EDIT: Oh hey yeah, on that note! This isn't going to be used to refresh everyone on the plot itself. The mods have a plot summary post already written up!

I've forgotten most of the things orz

-Bonnie's magi notes are in the lodge, accurate to the June meeting (that's. pretty outdated).
-I believe all/most of May's dungeon clues should be in there, or copies of them. Shinoa would've taken notes of things turned up by people who were at the meeting, if they didn't provide a copy themselves.
-Shinoa was also canonically taking notes of the meeting, so everything in this consolidation post (http://soulgemmed.dreamwidth.org/29356.html?thread=4275372#cmt4275372) should be at least summarized in the lodge.

I realize we derailed so much from that point. Wow

b.b.'s notes

In addition to the notes from the Luxury Lodge, this is what Bonnie's figured out through her time in Nyoi-cho. The big one of course is on the bulletin board: a notebook full of magi and their powers. Chances are, if you've used magic in front of her in some capacity, she's got a file on you as well. One day I might turn that into a CR chart, but it's not necessarily readily relevant. Still, depending on how Lilith feels, the original list might still be up, though some names have definitely been X'd out since then.

♥ In big, bold letters: Death isn't permanent if you're fatally wounded, but watch the soul gem! Based off of information from Sachiko Hatsu, as well as her own experiences.
♥ Amended onto that: If you die, you might lose your memories. Given that she died and couldn't remember her Grandmother's name for a short period of time, and only very RECENTLY remembered her dog's name, she's figured out that dying affects memories.
The seed from a witch has to be disposed. Either by defeating a Nightmare or by Kyuubey. The timing is difficult, but anything living when a Nightmarescape disappears along with it. (She also knows this from personal experiences.)
If a seed from a witch isn't disposed of, it will create another witch.
The natives aren't completely blank. She's constantly asked why she isn't in school-- she's never been since she's been in Nyoi-cho.
♥ A bullet point list of words to avoid while speaking on the phone to Sachiko Hatsu, or to Kyuubey in the rare case that he shows up. Witches, Noroi-cho, Seeds, anything else that might draw out interference. Speak as vaguely as possible.

In her possession from Tsukudo-cho, she has six diary pages: three from the first battle, two from Jimmy Hopkins, and one from another battle. She also has notes on her own memories, things from her past. She's keeping a journal at this point of events, so anything that she experiences herself, she'll be able to recount for the most part.

Ah yes, and the important one.

Important as she is as for her knowledge of this world, Sachiko Hatsu is not to be trusted.

Kakyoin does carry a notebook on him at nearly all times; after everyone gets back from Tsukudo-cho, he's going to hand it over to Ryoko for a while to let her run the information sharing game. In it he has:

► A rough IC reflection of the plot summary--enough to give a broad rundown of events with details only where necessary.

► Detailed notes on the different functions of Nightmares, Witches, and whatever the monsters in between the two from March and April were; defeating a Nightmare clears the Soul Gems of anyone in the labyrinth, that a Grief Seed is single-use purification and how to get rid of them in a Nightmare's barrier, and that those in between don't seem to leave any kind of benefit. Included are rough sketches of the Doll's witch/grief seed, and the monster from April that flooded the city.

► Mentions of exploring the labyrinth from May, with specific detail to the Beast, the Yuki-onna, and the monster/girl they saved at the end of it. Also pointed out are the photographs found there, and the fact that combined with so many cut off conversations with Hatsu, Nyoi-cho is probably being closely monitored.

► Further theories state that he thinks whatever the girl was could have been some midpoint between a Nightmare and a Witch and that she may have been left there to turn into the latte, but he doesn't know for certain if that's the case. At the bottom of the page is a quickly written 'Ayase Hatsu - location unknown.' A copy of the amended map is folded in this section.

► A section on Soul Gems points out that they must be exactly what they sound like, referring to his own as 'the part of me that was Hierophant'. He writes about Ayame Saito and Hitomi Amano's gems shattering when they fought the monster in March, and points out that as long as a gem is intact, the magi that owns it can even be brought back from death. A section dated 11/1 goes into further detail, with the fact that Soul Gems 'hatch' into Grief Seeds when they turn black and a magi becomes a Witch.

► Past that most of his notes are lacking real detail. One page is headed Noroi-cho with 'ノロイ' written next to it; underneath it are listed the terms 'lost to the witches', 'cursed(?)', and 'Is it even possible anyone lives here?' Another page labeled 'Chusei-shi' simply says 'Cyborg Xpress' hometown. Whenever I try to talk to Hatsu about the world we're in, we keep getting cut off. I don't even know if this town properly exists compared to where we are now. Could it be in another barrier?'

► Also dated 11/1 are some hurriedly written notes on Wraiths--the fact that they steal human emotions, leave behind gem-purifying cubes, and a rough sketch of one with a familiar curl to its hair. It also details that they took human form, to the point where they believed they were the people whose memories they apparently held. (A sidenote reinforces he thinks copied or stolen memories are the case, because a Wraith knew his real name.) Even his notes sound genuinely confused as to what Wraiths really are or where they come from, theorizing they could be familiars but admitting he simply doesn't know what to think.

► The last pages (because he's sure as hell out of space) explain that three years ago, an earthquake wiped a city and all the people in it off the face of the earth, and that the city was apparently Tsukudo-cho. The guess that follows is that the 'earthquake' was really the formation of a Witch (Okanoue? is written under this), and that the current Tsukudo-cho is a facsimile in a barrier. He admits he doesn't have nearly enough information to make any concrete guess as to what Miyuki really is. Past that it goes on to detail that offworld magi appeared in that location just over a year ago, before vanishing and acting like the native inhabitants upon reappearing. Kakyoin writes that all this information came from Miyuki Okanoue, and he doesn't know how trustworthy it is. The last note on the page is in much shakier handwriting, saying 'Regardless, I suspect it's the memories and images of those magi that the Wraiths were using. I don't know what that means for those magi and I'm afraid to consider the possibilities.'

► On the inside cover for immediate reference is a written key for the runic alphabet and a list of names (with a phone number beside Sachiko's):

Hoshiko Ohka
Sachiko Hatsu
Miki Morikawa
Ayame Saito
Hitomi Amano

► There seem to be several missing pages throughout the notebook, taken out due to either incorrect theories or other things Kakyoin decided were irrelevant.
