Activity Check
(January 28-February 3)
The end of the month has arrived, and that means it's time for activity check. To pass AC, players need to type up a short paragraph explaining what their character has spent the month doing. Please provide links alongside your paragraph so that moderators can easily verify that said activity exists. If you were accepted in the month of January or were on hiatus for at least two weeks, you need only check in by replying to this post. If you are currently on hiatus, you can fill out AC after returning or get another player to fill out your AC for you. |

Character: Azula
Activity: During the event, Azula had her typical miserable mother related nightmares, and was rescued through the combined efforts of Madoka and Lemmy of all people. Hopefully this will be one step closer to her finally putting her mommy issues behind her. During the boss fight she was mostly irritated and useless, trying without any success to get to the throne. She was however one of the only Magi not to get caught up in blue flames. Finally at the end of the month Azula met a new Magi who arrived exactly as the boss event ended.
Character: Sandy Marko
Activity: Upon arriving in the nightmare scape Sandy's dreams were predictably Hunger Games related. However she took time to guest star in both Bonnie and Jimmy's dreams where she plucked at the narrative of their respective realities but mostly just hung around. In the boss battle she dropped the boss into a hole buying the Magi a few seconds of time, and was one of the first Magi to get hit with the memory stealing blue flames.
Character: Harley Quinn
Activity: Harley's time in the nightmare scape was mostly spent having terrible dreams about being locked up, captured by Amanda Waller and forced back into the Suicide Squad. However she did spend some time poking around in the dreams of Kakyoin, Gary and Ryoko. During the boss fight she had a good bit of luck singing the monster into a trance, but that only served to slow it down and buy it time. When she got angry that it wasn't working anymore she attacked it and also got hit with blue fire bringing memories to life.

Character: Osomatsu Matsuno
Activity: ...Osomatsu's had a pretty tough month. He's been struggling with sleeping, like everyone else, and on top of that, had some nasty nightmares. Then, during the boss battle, he tried to prove himself, but quickly realized he was outmatched. Later, Osomatsu opened up to Karamatsu and told him that he wanted to become stronger (still being threaded out).

Character: Shinoa
Activity: On the 6th Shinoa put up a mirror message (x) asking about the shared dream, and discussed a possible plan of action with Madoka, Ryoko and Garviel.As the month went on she also visited the dreams of Abdul (x) and Sandy (x), helping them both not die.
She may have been responsible for waking up the Tapir (x).
Character: Laurent
Activity: Laurent went to his first magi gathering this month, i.e. the break-in party (x). Like the good role model he is, he may have inspired a few people to pick up lockpicking. On the subconscious front, he's had a fair time helping Bonnie deal with her monsters, literally (x), and a not so fair time dealing with his own with Diarmuid (x).
He was present at the bossfight, but did nothing important. He did encourage Madoka and piss Bonnie off in the same breath, if that counts. (x)

Character: Adrien Agreste
Activity: During the event Adrien wandered into Jimmy's dreamscape and met him for the first time. Just before the boss battle he tried to start a conversation with Asriel. During the battle he tried to stop the lava flow separating the magi.
I didn't have as much time as I had hoped for rp this month. I'm hoping my schedule will return to normal soon but apparently I can't say for certain. If I'm still super busy I might have go on hiatus or drop out for the next month. OTL

Character: Noriaki Kakyoin (AU)
Activity: Kakyoin's month consisted mostly of things going from bad to yikes, with the bad being more nightmares with a lowercase N, as well as speaking with Sachiko about lost friends. He also visited another dreamscape or two, notably encountering Abdul as the two tried to work out their respective issues and traumas. Following that he was involved in the bossfight, mostly having stupid ideas in between encouraging people like Asriel and Madoka.
Once things began to settle down again, he got distressing news from Ryoko and just about immediately started throwing himself back into overworking mode.

Character: Diarmuid Ua Duibhne (Lancer)
Activity: January didn't wait long to turn weird for Diarmuid as the odd dreams and the new shop that showed up out of nowhere reminded him there is a very good reason he doesn't believe in coincidences. Worried that the shop was either directly or indirectly responsible for disrupting his fellows' rest, Diarmuid realized there was only one thing he could do. The shop needed to be checked out and that meant a break in.
When not trying to start the first Magi Mafia, Diarmuid ended up wandering through a great many dreams. He attended a concert of sorts in Karamatsu's dream, had a very interesting conversation with Laurent, got creeped out by all he could feel and see that she couldn't in Madoka's dream, and did his best to break Harley out of jail.
All this dream travel left him exhausted when the boss fight came around, so he was not able to help as much as he would have liked to. His slowed reaction time made him worried he would be more trouble than help if he got too close to the tapir, so aside from some heavy thinking about their situation, all he ended up doing was feeding a few of his own memories to the creature.
The shop is still there, though, even with the boss defeated. This means there is still a lot left to find out. Once he gets some sleep that is!
Character: Mohammed Abdul
Activity: Before things took a turn for the crazy, Abdul left Kakyoin a belated Christmas gift. After that, all bets in relation to this thing called normalcy were off. While he might have been used to having nightmares, his nightmares were not usually so...combative, and as if it was not bad enough to have to face Dio in his own dreamworld, he ended up doing the same in Kakyoin's. Of course, this dream had a much more satisfying end than most because, for once, Abdul actually got to play a part in taking Dio down.
Once the boss made itself known, Abdul was able to point out how similar the situation around them seemed to be to the legends of the mythical baku. The information proved useful after the tapir woke up, but that was about all Abdul could do to help since the rain made his fire skills useless. When the idea hit him that maybe the tapir would calm down if they fed it enough memories, he became more reckless than usual and willingly stepped into the blue fire to test his theory. Fortunately, the risk paid off in the long run and the boss was defeated soon afterward.
Not long after waking up from the boss fight, Abdul ran into a new face who arrived at a rather awkward time considering how short of sleep they all were. Fortunately, he's had practice being short of sleep which means he was more than willing to show her around and get her some food. He also met up with Kakyoin to make sure his friend's return to leadership didn't end up breaking him into pieces again.

Character: Asriel Dreemurr
Activity:
Asriel had a series of dreams that ranged from peaceful and pleasant to violent and terrifying. Upon waking up in the lair of the boss, Asriel discovered a field of flowers right before encountering the boss itself. As some magi tried to wake up the tapir, Asriel made a run for the throne with Kakyoin's help. As he got closer, he was cut off from the other magi and faced with the memory of Chara.
Asriel and Chara fought back and forth, with Chara demanding that Asriel fight them and Asriel trying to figure out a way to save Chara. The other magi eventually broke through, and Asriel only had seconds to say his final goodbye to his sibling before they disappeared.
After the battle ended, Asriel woke up in his own bed, grieving over Chara.

Character: Dave Strider
Activity: Dave did not have a very good time this month. His dreamscapes consisted of all the things he hates, like the sounds of metal against metal and memories of a certain asshole Wraith. Also death. A lot of death. He got into arguments with both Gary and Karamatsu when the two of them wandered into his dreamscape and was very surprised to see Dirk again. After that, he ended up in the dreamscapes of Gary and Karamatsu, learning some unexpected things about his two friends in the process.
Character: Jimmy Hopkins
Activity: Jimmy had a wide variety of dreamscapes this month, dreaming of both ruling over Bullworth as an adored and idolized leader and being overthrown and backstabbed cruelly by everyone he tried to befriend. Bonnie, Adrien, and Sandy all ended up in his dreamscape, with the latter two ending up in his dream of ruling Bullworth. Sandy questioned Jimmy on what there was to like about Bullworth, a question which he experienced great difficulty in trying to answer adequately. The fact of the matter is that Bullworth is simply the worst school there is. Try as one might, there isn't much to praise about it.
Character: Ellen
Activity: Ellen found herself in Gary's dreamscape, wherein Gary was trapped in an asylum. Ellen took it upon herself to break him free and, at his behest, kill his pursuers in the process. Her intentions in doing so were far from pure, but though she isn't about to admit it, certain portions of Gary's dream really got to her and evoked some old memories in her.

Character: Gary Smith
Activity: Gary hasn't had it easy since his return in December but this past month was pretty shit. He ended up in Dave's nightmare where he was confronting the Wraith version of his brother. Gary witnessed Dave making questionable decisions before he himself made a couple of questionable decisions (helping his only friend out of a dangerous situation is totally questionable). He left this experience unsure about his standing with the only person he felt was in his corner because of the sole fact that he didn't...attack his dream Wraith bro until he realized he was dreaming. He's also confused about his own feelings on their weird friendship.
Afterwards he experienced his own dreamscape which took place mostly in the place he fears more than anything - Happy Volts asylum. He was sharing a cell with Harley, who tried to convince him that everyone needed some kind of help and to take a step back every now and then, to which he predictably did not respond well. There was also Ellen, who encouraged his need for revenge and even helped him execute it. He obviously is aware of how little he can trust her but being consumed by rage and having someone who could help him carry it out blinded his judgement just a tad. Dave also visits him and Gary, in a rare moment, is completely defeated in their conversation, which he will totally regret later since he feels like Dave can't see him acting like that.

Character: Madoka Kaname
Activity: Madoka's own dream was...creepy, to say the least, during the month. She suspected the dream that everyone was having with the bear involved Cyborg Xpress, but wasn't sure exactly how. She did manage to free Bonnie from her Nightmare at one point. She also inadvertently woke a tapir up that turned into a monster, though that apparently turned out to be the right thing to do. Maybe.
Afterwards, she did her best to comfort Asriel. Time will tell if it worked!

Character: B.B. Hood
Activity: Bonnie's dreams were of varying quality, showing off the multiple facets of who she is, or who she believes she is anyway. She didn't exactly have fun reliving certain memories, and wound up taking out all of her frustrations out on the boss. To naturally, very little success on her part.
Character: Ryoko Asakura
Activity: Ryoko spent most of her time going through dreams and cleaning up for the most part, though once the first dream was had, she immediately went to speak to Miki Morikawa and Hoshiko Ohka. Though she didn't contribute much to the boss battle, she immediately lead the charge in searching for the missing Cyborg Xpress members once all was said and done.
Character: Karamatsu Matsuno
Activity: Karamatsu's dreams weren't exactly pleasant for him, a constant reminder of his own struggle to figure out whether or not he's been brought here due to a wish or because he's meant to continue being the Wraith he once was. To that point, he did manage to help out Osomatsu in distracting him from his own bad dream. Naturally, he didn't do anything at all during the boss battle, and is now "celebrating" that fact with Osomatsu.
