July Event Details

As the days roll by, Nightmares have become fewer and fewer, weaker and weaker, until finally on the 7th magi turning out to hunt for the night will find the town quiet. Not a single Nightmare is in sight. It doesn't appear to be a lucky night of peace; the night after that, and the night after that, no Nightmares manifest. Tranquility Nyoi-cho is at peace. All worries have melted away, and an almost unnatural calm falls over the magi. Things that may normally concern a magi will feel like nothing important, and they will be apt to brush it off and continue with their lives. Birds seem to be singing more often, the sun seems to shine brighter, and everything is fine. The townsfolk are no different, and go about their lives with pleasant smiles and a bounce in their step. They speak proudly of how well they've slept as of late, and appear even more at ease with things. Magi with an unscrupulous nature will find their bad habits no longer bother the townsfolk. Shopkeepers wave thieving hands out the door, and vandalism is met with a gentle smile. Clouded Skies Unfortunately, all is not as pleasant as it seems, and this feeling of calm brings with it another problem. The magi's soul gems are draining in color at an increasingly rapid pace with each passing day, regardless of whether or not they are making use of their powers. Those with extravagant houses find it particularly draining, and excessive use of magic will leave their gems even darker. Nothing can stop this; even magi who are conservative with their magic will find themselves struggling by the end of the week. By the 15th, the situation becomes dire. With no means to cleanse gems and no sign of any Nightmares, it's clear something has to give before the magi find themselves facing the results of a fully darkened soul gem... In Summation... » Starting on the 7th, Nightmares no longer form within Nyoi-cho. » Magi will feel an almost dream-like calm fall over them and the town, and will find their worry and anxieties melt away. » Unfortunately, there is a downside to this: soul gems are draining faster and faster as the days go on, and there are no Nightmares to cleanse their gems. » By the 15th, the magi will find themselves with almost entirely blackened gems, and the mental exhaustion that comes with it.
