Activity Check
(August 27-September 3)
The end of the month has arrived, and that means it's time for activity check. To pass AC, players need to type up a short paragraph explaining what their character has spent the month doing. Please provide links alongside your paragraph so that moderators can easily verify that said activity exists. If you were accepted in the month of August or were on hiatus for at least two weeks, you need only check in by replying to this post. If you are currently on hiatus, you can fill out AC after returning or get another player to fill out your AC for you. |

Character: Chihaya Kisaragi
Activity:
Chihaya started the event off on the wrong foot, learning more than she'd intended about Kakyoin's version of the webpage. Still, she decided not to participate for a few reasons, some of them practical (she doesn't feel nearly strong enough), and some deeply personal.
By sheer luck (and a little paranoia keeping her indoors), her only encounters with participating magi were benign. She was ambushed by a terrifyingly cute monster, and they talked at length about WHY this event was happening. Then she bumped into a good friend, and they promised to stay safe.
A few quiet days later, Chihaya found out that her friend had died a quick but painful death, and spent much of the night talking things over with Yozora.
Things only went downhill from there, when she watched another friend have a minor breakdown, before learning that he'd sacrificed himself to lose first place. And then she had a surprisingly nice talk with the person who'd killed him. And learned that he'd killed Yozora, too.
In between discussing the possible meanings of this event, and possible ways to put an end to it (all of which were shots in the dark), she had just enough time to help out a new arrival before the end of the event turned everything upside-down.
By the end, Chihaya couldn't help but feel that she'd fallen into a pattern: she could only send her well-wishes to stronger magi willing to do the things she can't, and make blind stabs in the dark about what was going on.
So finally, with a push from her friend, and despite her own misgivings, Chihaya delved into the Nightmare and took that first step toward taking matters into her own hands...
