February Event Details

January has come and gone, and Nyoi-cho is at peace. The townspeople smile pleasantly, remarking that they're sleeping much better as of late, and children rush off to school full of energy. It's an idyllic scene; a scene that could almost make one forget that two students have gone missing. Miki Morikawa and Hoshiko Ohka are still nowhere to be seen. Wearing Your Heart on Your Sleeve Beginning on the 10th, a strong floral scent wafts through the air; its source is yet again the unopened storefront, now sporting windows reinforced by metal rods. A heavy padlock hangs off it, keeping the door firmly locked. Strangely enough, even with the clear signs of someone setting up in and around the shop, no one is ever seen entering or leaving. A sign is posted on the door. Opening Soon No Trespassing With the arrival of the scent is another bizarre phenomenon, one that is nigh impossible for the magi to miss: when interacting with one another, magi will find a small heart floating above the heads of other magi, pulsating lightly. This heart can be numerous different colors, denoting the feelings that magi has towards the other. ❤ Highest affection, to the point of making irrational decisions. This magi would kill for your sake. ❤ You are considered family or a close friend. This magi would go out of their way to assist you. ❤ A casual acquaintance; your contributions are seen in a positive light. This magi would fight by your side. ❤ Ambivalence or indifference. ❤ In their eyes, you are considered annoying; a nuisance. This magi wouldn't strain themselves for your sake. ❤ Great disdain is held towards you. This magi would definitely not save you, and may watch you suffer. ❤ Hatred. This magi would kill you, if given the chance. Only one heart is ever visible, and the color betrays their true feelings no matter what. On the plus side, for magi who like to act contrary to how they feel, there is nothing available to the magi that spells out what each color stands for. Absolute Choice As will soon become obvious, the appearance of the hearts isn't the only change that has occurred. Occasionally when interacting with other magi, a magi may find numerous choices in front of them, floating in the air like a choose-your-own-adventure game's selection screen. Options can range from a choice as innocuous as consoling an upset magi, to as nonsensical as reaching down and licking the bottom of their shoe. The choices always come in sets of three, and without fail, one choice in the set will always be immensely rude. On top of that, every so often, a romantic or flirtatious one will pop up as well. Do none of the choices sound appropriate? That's too bad. Hesitating to make a choice within 30 seconds will result in a pounding headache that intensifies rapidly to debilitating pain. The only way to cure it is by complying with a choice in front of you, after which it will dissipate to nothing. Strangely enough, it seems as though the options come with them requirements that will sometimes render them unselectable, in which case the words in the air that correspond to that option will be greyed out. Magi will find themselves utterly unable to carry out the option that is greyed out, no matter how hard they may try. Fear not, though! There will never be more than one unselectable option in a set of three. In Summation... » All magi will see a colored heart above the head of any magi they interact with. » The color of the heart corresponds to the way a magi feels about the viewer, but the magi themselves have no way of knowing this. » A floral scent fills the air. » As magi interact with each other, they will find themselves faced with various choices! Failure to select one will result in an immense headache that will not let up until the afflicted magi complies. » The shop is still setting up, and it doesn't seem as though it's possible to sneak into anymore... How should we generate our own dialogue choices? This sounds interesting. Almost like we're all VN characters or somethin, hehe.

Can the hearts be interacted with in any way?

I mean are they tangible? If one tries to touch one or hide it under a hat or something what can we expect to happen?

So, in regards to the choices, when they appear can everyone in the area see them or are they only visible to the person who is being given the choices?

Do in-between heart colors exist (e.g. peach???? for a friend more than an acquaintance but not as close as family/bffs4eva ?) For characters with conflicted opinions, do their hearts just pick the closest feeling or flicker between colors?

What happens in the unlikely scenario that somebody's opinion changes in the middle of the event?

If Sandy were to try turning into her animated sand form and sneak in would there be some kind of crack big enough? Like under the door or a mail slot or some such?

Probably the biggest thing to note with during this plot is that Madoka's heart is always pink when speaking to magi. Even to people who aren't nice. It will probably be super awkward for a lot of people to find out that Madoka cares for them no matter what!

Oso doesn't know very many people yet, but you're probably pretty high on his affection level unless you do something to piss him off.

Obviously Azula is...not particularly fond of most Magi. Odds are either she's indifferent to you or would kill you on a bad day. Only a few have actually made her like list.

As for the options offered, if anyone wants to be forced into kissing, hand holding, going out on dates with Azula or what have you step right up! Odds are she will react with fire and fury if forced into embarrassing situations too many times so...be ready for that.

Interestingly enough Sandy would make irrational choices and/or kill for a lot of Magi depending on the situation.

Here's hoping it doesn't come to that.

I am toying with her dialogue options forcing her into some kind of a Yandere thing.

Harley Quinn

The floral scent is gonna have Harley feeling pretty blue, she misses her best friend and girlfriend from back home.

So this will prove an excuse for her to get her flirt and smooch on with the other adults in town...there's like what five of them?

Probably a lot of green hearts from Gary's end with a few black or purple for those special people.

As far as dialogue options I mean...the boot licking example seems pretty legit and if anyone did this you'd be Gary's favorite. (Or just pick the options that let you be an asshole towards other people that works too)
